We’re a big fan of reaching out and trying to help bring people into software development and engineering. We take local high school students and show them the ropes with real code and real projects. We go out to school fairs and show the science behind everything from working with electronics to biology. We donate time and money to causes we think are important.
We’re very proud to be sponsoring Google Developer Group DevFest 2014 in Fresno this year. The event is being put together by three GDG’s (Fresno, Visalia, and Oakdale) as well as a host of other supporters and we’re happy to help in any way we can.
Our own Justin Ribeiro is giving talks on Google Glass and Android Wear development, and both Justin and James Duvall will be leading the Polymer CodeLab. Stickman folks will be wandering around, so if you have a question about software development and what it’s like in the trenches, ask. We love to answer questions and hopefully we can help drive your enthusiasm for science and software development to new heights!
The event is being held October 18th at Fresno City College. Get your tickets today!
